In Paradisum is my first work for the piano. It was composed principally as a gift for my wife, Anna; nonetheless, thoughts of my late Father dominated my thinking while i worked on the piece, so it is also the third work of mine to explore that bereavement. In contrast to those other works, however, this piece—while expressively diffuse—is an entirely positive, affirmative statement.
